Love is In The Air, #26

Back home today from the countryside staying 3 days for my mother-in law wedding. It is such a very beautiful day on sunday, sunny and warm. And they had the small wedding ceremony at their house with only 20 guests ( half family and half their very best friends). The day was stunning, beautiful people, lots of foods and sweets ( yes it was a lot!) and it all made by her and my hubby grandmother.

Lil R very happy there and was incredible! the whole day he is being playful and content, I don't hear any noise from him that day so we all very happy. It was a long day but we all enjoy it so much, lots of work and clean up for before and after the wedding but it's all worth it!
I wore a very lady like black Nicola Finetti open back dress and off white stockings, and most people commented that I look very cute and people said I looks like Lil R bigger sister instead of his mother. Oh dear....

Now, it is time for me to face reality, back to day to day job and be busy. More to come, my craft project the last week that I haven't revealed yet. Good Night everyone.

Superwoman ,#25

Im a Superwoman. Yes, sometimes I can't even think how I did all the house jobs plus taking care, entertaining 14 months old toddler, plus now a lil puppy. Without any help from family nor friends. As you know, my family lived overseas and my parents in-law live in the country side almost 2 hour drive from Melbourne so its almost impossible to visit once a week.
From washing to cooking to vacuum to sewing to ironing, everything is only me and my beautiful husband who do the work. I tried to have a cleaner that come for few hours every 2 weeks for a couple times but it just didn't work. Thank God husband is a kind of BIG helper and willing to take over my job when he is around the house. He never complain and always offer me help to do stuff like seriously anything! And Im glad he is happy to do those things. I feel a bit emotional the last few days, realizing how hard work He has done to help me overcome everything with Lil R. From encouraging me to go out every friday with my friends until helping me back into sewing when I feel not motivated. He is the sweetest man.

The last few days we've been spending time out and about in the city, catch up with friends, some shopping for us, hunting yummy desserts and enjoying the weather.
I had so much food and feel guilty now because I haven't cook for 3 days! Doh! We have a family ritual having meal at a restaurant once a week on the weekend followed by nice desserts somewhere but this week was 3 days eating out for dinner. Ah well, I guess we just have to enjoy life sometimes and food is one of my favourites!

How yummy is these food. Oh and this Yumcha, we went to the best one in town is in the middle of China Town called WestLake. And usually for lunch/dinner time you have to queue for at least 15 minutes if you don't have a reservation.
Ah well, better off before I get hungry myself. :)

Neighborhood ,#24

Can't help it but to share today photos that I took during the day when I walk B and took Lil R to the park. We lived very closed to the lake and big park. And today, everything was gorgeous outside.

The spot where Me and Lil R usually hand around if we go to the park. Just under the old big tree. So Cosy. And today the grass is just beautifully green. I cant help myself to sit and spent 25 minutes in the cold. Lil R doesn't mind at all,he is happy with his ball and I was happy enjoying the cold weather with my lunch.

Park and the lake quiet big, one or two rounds jog with the pram is quite an exercise for me. It has 2 playgrounds and a cafe, usually full of babies and kids with their mother in midday and late afternoon in the summertime. Perfect place to freshen up minds from babies crying at home.
Today dessert, profiterole that I bought at a cake shop nearby and my vegetarian lunch. So yummy. Had it there with seagulls surround us wishing for me to throw some food for them but Im not a big fan of them, it's because they always scares me when they flow away over Me.

Last but not least, I left him for 6 minutes to the kitchen while Daddy busy doing his sketching and this is what I found! Berries from my plate on dinner table all over his hands, mouth and clothes. God knows how he got it from the table while I put all dining chairs away ('cos I know He will climb up!).

I should learn my lesson, never leave a 13 months old toddler unattended by himself! Who knows next time what he will get.
Other than that, my crafting session been really slow. I don't know why/what make me being so lazy. Time that I usually spend for sewing (usually at night after Lil R asleep), I spent it more with Mr watching dvd, having tea and late snacks also cuddle up with B. I Been having early nights as well, trying to have enough sleep and be fit and maybe thats all why Im stuck in my own time without doing any project. Like everyone said, so many things to do - so little time.

Sunny In Winter ,#23

What a gorgeous day! sun shinning and spent all day out with the family and I got a chance to hang around for couple of hours with sister in the city, done some shopping and retail therapy cleanse my head after a few days nesting in the house :)

Lil R very happy waking up this morning, if he is happy then everyone will be happy in the house including B and Daddy. Despite all the trouble sleeping last night from teething, this morning was a sweet morning for us.

Taaadaa! This is the jacket that I made for B. Monaluna fabrics from Etsy seller My Needle & Thread, suits him best. Oh, I have been looking this fabrics quite everywhere on my favourites Etsy fabric supplies - only two of them have this one!

Now Im in search for a dressy skirt for my Mother in-law wedding on the 27th, wish I can make ones for myself! But Im learning...

Nesting ,#22

Too much affection from B, enjoy watching Lil R and B playing and teasing each other.

Very simple lunch snack for Lil R, he's been enjoying eating eggs this past week for snacking. With the best non organic butter in the market.

Very sweet hubby made twelve blueberries muffin before work at 7.15 am! He kept them fresh in the oven and surprise me. "Open the oven,I got Lil something for you. For your company when you drinking tea" . what a sweetheart! He baked quite regularly but this is the first few times he did just before work.

Having his 12 months immunization today, as usual he is doing great! 3 injections today, hopefully he will be okay for the next few days. Gave him an elephant doll for the treat! :)

Nice and quite lunch at home, everyone sound asleep. Checking out blogs, read some fashion magazines and waiting for a parcel to come. Got hubby a winter jacket and it will be a surprise. House clean and everything under control, nothing better than this.

Weekend Is Over ,#20

As Im writting, the weekend is officially over. Tomorrow is Sunday but hubby going to work. Practically its Me, LilR and B at home. We not planning to go anywhere, stay at home, cuddle up and hopefully I can finish my picnic rug too.
Today was a big day for me. I got up tad early to go to the Queen Victoria Market for weekly grocery shopping. Got B lil pendant,so cute cant resist. Took some market photos aswell.
For you who do not lived in Melbourne, Queen Victoria Market is the biggest market in Melbourne. They sell fresh produce food, vegetables, deli section and also they also have accessories stalls. BIG and pretty much you can find anything in there, from Australiana souvenirs, knick-knacks, home decor, clothing & accsesories, etc.

Their seafoods are so fresh and lots of choice. The prices are fairly not too expensive compare to supermarket. They often give you discount too if you a regular at some shops.

Deli section , yes its great for those who eat meat or loves the Italian sausages, salami and kabana. They have a HUGE range to choice from. Myself is not a big fan of meat, so I usually browse the cheese section, lots of Cheese in display and you can do testing in the stall before you buy.

The fruit & veggies section are outside the meat and delis section. Look at them, they are so fresh! Lots of discount too if they know you in some stalls and especially if you buy in bulk! :)

Last, I got these for Lil J - very cute original England Peter Rabbit for only $3 at the op shop nearby (it was clean with no stainswhen I bought it, but Lil R was playing with it and got stained!). Was looking for some blankets/fabrics for the Beagle rescue but as usual, my eyes just snatched to a few good looking stuff for me or Lil R. In the end Im happy because I get to collect pretty much around maybe 12m of fabrics/blankets for the Beagle rescue, got the jumper, two jeans skirt for me and a set 0f 6 never used S&P teacups including sugar bowl and milk jar for $8. I know it sounds a lot but I spent it all for under $25. Woohoo!

Creative Space, #19

My creative space for tonight, I managed to finished quilted patchwork picnic rug. Im very happy with myself as I managed to do all the sewing, pinned them together and this and that took me less than 2 hr! I cut up the fabric a week ago and too busy too finished up until tonight, tomorrow is going to be the backing (which Im thinking plain pale pink or cream) and the binding will be cream is-latte color. I put all of these scraps fabric together and decided to make some pretty in pink spring/summer picnic rug, although Im not a big fan of pink but I don't mind this one.

Tomorrow is going to be a big day as I have to go to the market early morning, thinking Victoria market for weekly grocery shopping and hunting op shops for some blankets/fabrics and spotlight too. Also I have to start sew the dog blanket for the Beagle Rescue tomorrow night because they will pick the blankets on saturday.
Trying to take some nice photos tomorrow, as lately the past weeks I've been taking crap photos. Too busy to play with the camera and I think I need a bigger flash!

Shoepaholic ,#18

have to confess, Im really bad when it comes to shopping. It seems like I cant stop myself. Especially shoes and jacket! Im a sucker for cute or a pretty pair of shoes. Today, I had a shoes delivered to my door from ASOS. This U.K website have such a large range of clothes, shoes, accessories that you can choose from, delivery a bit expensive but take only 5-7 days to arrive to Australia.

I bought this very masculine/cute leather patent baby pink Dr Martens. Not my usual style but I dare to try something different. Turns out pretty cute with the right clothes! It reminded me back in primary school when Dr Martens so booming (excuse for the ugly yellow-ish color in pics, was a quick shots).

I was very happy today, Lil R also behaving himself and Bond too. So I will enjoy my new Doc tomorrow - perfect for rainy winter season.

Thrift finds, #17

Went thrift shop today, just randomly pop in and snapped a very nice tan boots and it seem never used. A pretty wool scarf and Hensel and Gretel book from the 80's for total $10.

Now Im thinking what to do with Lil R Birthday presents. He got massive (yes a lot of presents!) from family and our friends. He already got quite a lot of nice toys at home, from wooden blocks to puppet dolls. Now Im just not sure where to store all of his presents. Its 3 weeks after he turned one and this is the only time I gather all of them. And the photo below is just HALF of the presents!

Hopefully by the end of this week I will sort these things out. Im not sure if I even going to keep them Ssshhh... hopefully Lil R will not find out. LOL

Winter, #16

Made Bond a flannelette jacket last night, very quick one to keep him warm. Im a bit annoyed because I couldn't find any velcro in my messy sewing room (I know I had at least 2metres somewhere!) so I used ribbon instead. It turned out Ok for temporary jacket.

And this is what happened when Lil R out of my sight for 3 minutes. He is so quick! He's been climbing up and down since He is 11 months old. Trouble trouble.

Im hoping tommorrow weather is better than today! Im going to make few blankets for Beagle Rescue Victoria they need warm blankets, sheets old or new for winter months. So pop in to Op Shops and maybe Spotlight for some fleece.

Welcome Bond! ,#15

Okay, day 2 the puppy is here.So far so good. He is been toilet trained from the breeder and thats a relieved for us. We really worried bout him peeing and pooping on the carpet, but now its all good. Sleep, he sleeping with us in the room but not on our bed (he sleeping on the crate) and we hoping next week we will move the crate in the lounge room. The only reason we did this is only because he is crying the frist time we put him to the crate. Just like a baby separation anxiety, which my Lil R is experiencing right now!

Look, how cute he is!
This particular breed is very affecionate especially to their Boss (for Bond,Im his boss). He following me everywhere I go in the house and sleep on my foot when Im at the desk. Such a cute little creature!

Exciting News, #14

Hoorayy! Finally is the 28th, thas mean we are going to pick up a puppy tommorrow from a breeder. After a long wait (4months!) finally we can have him tommorrow. Im so excited and Im curious with Lil R reactions.
We set the pup bed etc and Lil R seems so interested in them, he even try to lay down on it. We will be getting a French Bulldog. I love love love dogs!! And French Bulldog is one of the most adorable breed (and its not easy to get them aswell, usualy you have to call a few breeders and be in their waiting list if you want a pup). Ok, lets move on! I got caught up here.
This week been such a very long week for me. Lil R teething, crying, being so active and he drained my energy. We did not managed to do a lot of stuff even missed playgroup and the weather is pretty cold. Snug up in bed, hang around in lounge room and doing freeplay was our this week routine. but thank god its Weekendddddd. So relieved.

More to come tomorrow, fingers crossed Im not busy with the new 'kiddo' in the house. Sleep tight everyone! x

Wet Cold Day, #13

Today was dark, wet and windy. A nice way to stay at home with Lil R. We had fun today at home, doing free play, and I finished my cutting for my quilt. Lil R was so cute today because he was trying to cut some fabrics, he grabbed the measuring tape and put it on the fabric then he also was so quiet (something unusual!) looking at me cutting the fabrics. What a curious boy!
Got the list of kids for Lil J to swap mail from Christie of Pigeon-Pair. So excited cant wait to help Lil J write or draw letter for them.

Now Im watching Grey's Anatomy while typing this blog, so entertaining. I dont watch many television show, not a big fan of telly but this show is soo so good :) Hospital, surgeons, and love story. Something different.
Oh and Im trying to set up flickr album , hopefully I will have it soon!
Have a great weekend.

Officially 1, #12

I abandon this blog and again this one is not for days but 2 months since my last post. Hows that? A lot of things happened around me in two long months, one major thing is my sweet little baby is now officially ONE on the 5th of May! Yes, Lil R is now one year old. Time passed very quick,I still remember the first day I took Lil R home from hospital. Such a joy and now, a year after that, he is grown into a very charming 1 year old toddler that keeping me busy through my days. Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY my darling!

Beside that, Im very slow with my sewing and crafting moments. I do managed to make two patchwork quilted blankets for Lil R but it's just nothing else for the shop. I also do a
lot of reading the last two months and purchased 7 books (yes seven!) from the book depository
. This U.K website give free delivery with no minimum purchased so i saved quite a lot especially when I bought a hard cover book (they sometimes also has a cheaper price than amazon!). I bought a various book from child's book to interior design books.

We also managed to have a week holiday over at the country side in Castlemaine just before Lil R birthday. Ran away from the hustle and bustle city life for a little bit. Had a very nice time the 3 of us and we visited my husband's family who lives there aswell. Did some op-shops hunting (got a few nice stuff) and spotted an $8 ankle boots in immaculate condition! Such a relaxin moments for us and of course, lots of photos!
I can go fo hours here talking my two months time. Next time, I promised to not leave it for too long :)

A Full Day, #11

It is officially a week since my last post. I had a very amusing and fun week! Full of smile, laugh and tears aswell. This week is also Lil R officially first playgroup class. Its been great, a full 2hours class. We join the Sophia Mundi Steiner School, their method and principal is just so wonderful. But Im still learning about the pro and con about this whole Steiner school VS mainstream school. As my background is brought up in private school from kinder thru University while my husband been brought up in Steiner education from Kinder thru high school (except uni), so there is a pro and con for me about this whole thing. But the main thing is I want the best education and enviroment for both Lil R and Lil J.
Besides that, my week went pretty quick it seems weird for me because I expect that days will be hard and long for me because of my mum and Lil J will go home to Indonesia soon. I will terribly terribly miss them a lot especially Little J (Little J been living with grandma the last two years and visiting melbourne twice a year for 3 months stay everytime she come). This house will be so much quieter when Lil J is gone for Indonesia.
This week we also had an unexpected trip to a dog expo, a friend of me pick up and offer to visit the expo and everyone had a good long day! We saw a lot of dogs (I'm a BIGGEST dog lover) and play with some of farm animals. nice sunny day too in melbourne on that day.

How adorable is he?

Today also a very productive day for me, took some pics for the shop and going to list them soon in the next two days. Had dinner with family and brother in-law also bought some magazines for my inspiration. I just cant believe how many baby/kids magazine nowadays. Back in three years ago, modern minimalism babies/kids fashion magazine are still a rare find! Will post some tommorrow from some interesting page in the magazine.
As usual, it is late here in Melbourne and we are one day ahead from the US so it is time for me to take off and saying
GOOD NIGHT! x
